Help to Grow: Digital is a UK government-backed scheme that helps eligible small businesses fund the purchase of new software. As part of the initiative, the scheme is able to offer a discount of up to 50% or £5,000 (excluding VAT) towards the cost of buying approved software, including the BigCommerce eCommerce platform.

The scheme is available across BigCommerce’s Standard, Plus, and Pro packages and covers 12 months of operation.

Is Your Online Retail Business Eligible?

To be eligible for the discount on BigCommerce and other approved software, businesses must meet all the following criteria:

  • UK Registered Business: Your business must be registered in the UK at Companies House or be a registered society listed on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Mutuals Register.
  • 12-month’s Trading History: Your business must have been actively trading for over 12 months before making your application.
  • Employee Numbers: The scheme is available to businesses employing a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 249 employees.
  • New Software: Businesses must be purchasing approved software for the first time.

The individual applying for the discount must be:

  • Aged 18 or above.
  • An employee of the business applying for the discount.
  • Authorised to agree to the terms and conditions on behalf of the business.
  • Able to confirm receipt of the financial discount will not cause the business to exceed the total threshold for Small Amounts of Financial Assistance or De Minimis.
