The why

The message you missed was in the account you weren’t in

Buyer messages are the one part of eBay admin that has a clock on it. They are also the part that is split across as many inboxes as you have accounts.

01

Every account has its own inbox

So the urgent one is, reliably, in whichever account you are not signed into. You find it when you next happen to look, which is not the same as when it arrived.

02

Buyer questions have a shelf life

A pre-sale question is worth answering while the buyer is still on the page. A day later they have bought it from someone who answered.

03

eBay’s own notices land in the same place

Cancellation requests, feedback prompts and eBay’s promotional nudges sit alongside real buyer questions. The one that needed a reply today looks exactly like the four that didn’t.

04

Finding an old message is its own job

“What did we tell them about the return?” means remembering which account, then scrolling. Usually while the buyer is waiting.

How long has your oldest unread buyer message been sitting there? On which account? If you cannot answer that from where you are sitting, that is the problem — and it is not a failure of effort, it is what happens when the work is spread across several inboxes.

What’s in it for you

Three things you get back

One list, every account

Buyer messages and eBay notifications from all your linked accounts in a single inbox, with the account each one came from shown on the row.

Findable later

Search the inbox, or filter it down to what is unread or flagged as priority, instead of scrolling one account at a time.

Answer without switching

Reply inside Frooition. No signing out, no signing in, no losing whatever you had open.

The feature

Link → Read → Reply

Accounts are linked once. After that the messages arrive in one place and are answered from that same place.

Step one

Link your accounts

Connect each eBay seller account to your Frooition login. One on a free account, up to five with Boost Basic.

Step two

Read one inbox

Buyer messages and eBay’s system notifications sync into a single list. Filter by Unread or Priority, or search for the one you need.

Step three

Reply in the tool

Answer the buyer from inside Frooition and move on to the next one, rather than opening eBay in another tab.

The detail

What is actually in the inbox

Set out specifically, because “message management” is a phrase that could mean almost anything, and usually does.

What syncs in

  • Buyer messages from every linked eBay account
  • eBay system notifications — cancellation requests, feedback prompts
  • eBay’s own promotional messages to you
  • The account each message belongs to, shown on the row

What you can do

  • Read and reply without leaving Frooition
  • Filter to Unread
  • Filter to Priority
  • Search the inbox

Where it sits

  • Part of the same dashboard as your listings and orders
  • Works across all linked accounts, or inside one account at a time
  • Same login, same sidebar, no separate tool to learn

What it is not

  • Not a helpdesk or ticketing system
  • Not automated replies or saved templates
  • Not a change to how eBay itself handles messages
  • Not a postage, label or refund tool — those stay where they are
The inbox is free. So is finding out what your listings are missing.
The same free account that puts every message in one place scans every live listing you have, uncapped, and shows you the gaps. Nothing to install.

The cost of a missed message is rarely the message. It is the sale, or the case, or the feedback line that sits on your account for a year.

Which is why the fix is unglamorous and worth doing anyway: put every inbox in one list, make it searchable, and answer from where you are already working. Nothing about that is clever. It just means the important one stops hiding behind a login screen.

The real-life bit

“It was a question before it was a case”

A seller running four accounts — a main shop, an outlet, a clearance account and a European one — gets a message on the clearance account asking whether a part fits a particular van. It is a good question from a buyer who is ready to buy.

Nobody is signed into the clearance account that day. Two days later they are, and the message is still there, and underneath it is a second message from the same buyer saying they have bought elsewhere. Then a third, on a different account, about a return that had also been sitting unread.

Neither of those was a hard problem. Both were invisible problems — and the difference between a question and a case is often just how long it sat in an inbox nobody was looking at.

The bit that’s usually missing

What it costs

Free to find, paid to apply — and the free part is the whole diagnosis, not a teaser. Whether a tool is included shouldn’t take three clicks and a form to find out.

Free · no account

Single item check

£Free

Paste in one eBay item number and see what is missing from it. No account, no eBay connection, and the single-item PDF is free to download. This is the box at the top of this page.

Whole catalogue scan

£Free

Connect your eBay account and the scan covers every live listing you have, uncapped — Buy It Now and auctions up to the first bid, which is where eBay itself stops allowing revisions. Finding is never capped and never charged.

Paid · one plan

Boost Basic

£30/month +VAT

£300/year +VAT · US $46/month, $460/year

One plan covering the paid tools, including 25 AutoFix Credits a month. Applying changes to live listings is the paid step — by subscription, by credits, or by a quoted managed service.

This tool specifically: eBay Messages is free, with full access. It is not an upsell and there is no reduced version of it — the inbox works the same whether you pay us anything or not. What Boost Basic adds is the number of eBay accounts you can link: one on free, up to five on the plan.
AutoFix Credits are £1 per credit +VAT (US $1.33), 10% off from 100 and 15% off from 500, bought as a one-off rather than a subscription. One credit does one action on one listing — and a credit is only ever spent writing a change to a live listing, never on finding something. Boost Basic includes 25 a month, 300 on the annual plan.
Quoted after an assessment, not priced here: a sixth eBay account and beyond, catalogue imports above 10,000 listings, template design beyond 500 listings and FrooSync, Listing Rescue and inventory work. Onboarding is a separate professional service — the first half hour free, then £50/hour for new clients.

Straight answers

What we’re not claiming

Better you know the edges now than find them later.

It does not answer messages for youThere are no automatic replies and no saved templates in this tool. You read and you reply — the gain is that you do it in one place.
It does not change eBay’s rulesMessages still go through eBay, still follow eBay’s policies, and eBay still measures your account the way it always did.
It is not a helpdeskNo assignment, no queues, no SLA reporting. If you need a full support desk, this is not it.
Order actions live next doorAdding tracking and marking items shipped happen in the Order Manager rather than in the inbox. We do not claim bulk status updates or automatic buyer notifications.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here

Is it really free?
Yes — full access, no reduced version. A free account links one eBay account; Boost Basic takes that to five. The inbox itself behaves identically either way.
Does it show messages from all my eBay accounts?
Yes — the inbox works across every account linked to your Frooition login.
Can I reply from inside Frooition?
Yes. You read the message and reply in the tool, without signing into eBay separately.
What is the Priority filter?
A filter on the inbox that narrows it to messages flagged as priority, alongside a filter for unread. Between them you get to the ones that need you first.
Do eBay’s own notifications come through too?
They do — cancellation requests, feedback prompts and eBay’s promotional messages sync in alongside buyer messages, which is worth knowing so you are not surprised by the volume.
Can I set up automatic replies or templates?
Not in this tool. We would rather say so plainly than let you find out after you have moved your workflow across.
Does it replace eBay’s messages entirely?
No. It is a synced view of them. Your messages remain eBay messages and everything you send goes through eBay as normal.
