Nothing forces you to look at an old listing

Good ‘til cancelled means a listing can sit there for years. Nothing about eBay prompts a review, and nothing about your week does either.

A listing that has been up for months carries that

Recency is a signal in eBay search. A listing that has sat unchanged and unsold for a long time is competing against fresher ones for the same buyer.

Relisting is not free of consequencesA relisted item is a new listing. Watchers, listing age and sold history stay with the listing that ended. That is the trade-off, not a footnote.

We don’t promise more salesRecency is one signal among many. A relisted listing that was priced wrong is a fresh listing that is priced wrong.

eBay’s own fees and limits still applyRelisting interacts with your selling limits and, on some formats, with fees. The daily cap exists partly for that reason. Check your own account’s terms.

Does it end my listing, or just refresh it?

For fixed-price listings, eBay Auto Relister ends and relists — the new listing is genuinely new. For auctions that closed with no winning bid, it relists them. Either way you get a fresh listing rather than an edited one.

Will I lose my watchers?

Yes, on any listing that is ended and relisted — watchers, listing age and sold history stay with the listing that ended. That is inherent to relisting, not specific to this tool. If you need to change something without losing all that, use Bulk Revision instead.

Can I control how many listings it touches?

Yes. The fixed-price rule has a daily cap that you set. It is the setting most worth thinking about before you turn the tool on.

Can I run it for auctions only?

Yes. The two rules are independent — fixed-price and auction — and either can be left off.

What happened to GTC Watchdog?

It is retired as a separate feature and folded into Auto Relister. Nothing was removed; it is just no longer sold or configured separately.

What if the listing needs fixing, not just relisting?

Use End & Relist, on the Listing Optimiser dashboard. It finds listings live three weeks or more with no sales and gives you a reviewable queue, so you can correct the listing and then relist rather than reposting it unchanged.
