eBay to Shopify

With more than four million eCommerce sites built on the platform, you won’t be the first eBay seller who has had their head turned by Shopify. If you’ve not already taken the plunge into developing your own eCommerce store, there are many reasons why you should consider setting up a Shopify website and listing your products on eBay to Shopify. In fact, when we recently compiled a list of the top 20 benefits of Shopify – we barely scratched the surface.

11 More Reasons to Consider Shopify

If you need more reasons to consider Shopify as your eCommerce channel of choice, consider the following 11 points:

1.Ease of Use: Shopify is known for its user-friendly interface and intuitive setup process. Even individuals with limited technical knowledge can easily create and manage a professional-looking online store without extensive coding or design skills.

2. Wide Range of Templates and Themes: Shopify provides a large selection of customisable templates and themes, allowing sellers to create a visually appealing store that aligns with their brand identity. The options can be a little limited however and you may well need additional design and development to both differentiate your store from all the other Shopify stores and to align the design with your brand identity design. Frooition can help you with additional Shopify design and customisation.

3. Mobile-Responsive Design: All Shopify (and custom Frooition) themes are mobile-responsive, ensuring that your store looks great and functions well on various devices, including smartphones and tablets.

4. Secure and Reliable: As a hosted platform, Shopify takes care of security, updates, and server maintenance, ensuring that your store remains secure and accessible to customers 24/7.

5. Payment Gateways: Shopify integrates with numerous payment gateways, enabling sellers to accept payments from customers worldwide using various methods, including credit cards, digital wallets, and other country-specific payment options.

6. App Store and Integrations: Shopify offers an extensive App Store with a wide range of add-ons and plug-ins that enhance the functionality of your store. These apps cover everything from marketing and customer support to inventory management and shipping.

7. SEO-Friendly: Shopify provides tools and features to optimise your store for search engines, making it easier for potential customers to find your products through organic search.

8. Scalability: Whether you’re a small startup or a large enterprise, Shopify can accommodate your needs. The Shopify platform is designed to scale with your business, supporting growth. If you find as you grow that your current Shopify setup is hampering things, Frooition can help here too with Shopify development that grows with your business.

9. Built-in Marketing Tools: Shopify includes built-in marketing tools like discount codes, gift cards, and abandoned cart recovery, making it easier to promote and sell products.

10.Customer Support: Shopify offers 24/7 customer support, ensuring that you have assistance whenever you encounter issues or have questions about your store.

11. Multi-channel Selling: Shopify allows you to sell not only on your online store but also on various other marketplaces, using their Marketplace Connect app, but also into social media platforms, , and in-person using their POS system.

Shopify: Easy eCommerce

However, as a busy eBay seller, we know it’s one thing to know the benefits of going multi-channel and setting up your own eCommerce store and actually finding the time to do it.

If you believe the hype, software-as-a-service (SaaS) eCommerce platforms like Shopify are incredibly easy to set up and run. By and large, this is true. With ready-built templates, you can set up and start selling on a Shopify store within a matter of hours.

However, in reality, the process of setting up a Shopify store can be much more complex. Serious sellers will want to deploy their own branding and design. Then depending on the products they sell, they may have to invest in custom functionality to ensure a positive customer experience. And we have yet to mention all those essential items like preferred payment gateways and marketing plug-ins.

Don’t worry if you are still trying to figure out where to start on your journey as a Shopify store owner. The eCommerce experts at Frooition can help you with the entire process. We’ll not only help you with the build and design of your Shopify store, thanks to our extensive partner network, we can introduce you to the right people in the eCommerce eco-system to make your Shopify store run like clockwork.
