Management Buy-Out Comes To Frooition

Market Leading eBay Designer Undergoes Management Buy-Out

Frooition, the world’s largest eBay design firm that helps business sell more online has announced a management buy-out of the business, funded by CEO Phillip Molloy and Director Grenville Whelan.

Based in the UK and established in December 2005, with US representation in New York, Florida and California, Frooition has built eBay stores for over 2000 businesses including Disney, Timberland and Calvin Klein, delivering average sales increases of 30%, receiving over 13m in eBay client feedback and boasting over a million live client listings at any one time.

Phillip Molloy, CEO of Frooition which is the only officially certified eBay designer, using officially certified eBay software said: “The management team live and breathe the products and services provided by the company. It’s a natural progression that the team should now be both in control and responsible for the continued success of the company. It’s a great boost for the team that means we will now be able to make instant decisions when creating new products and delivering services”

The current management team has been in place since December 2008, as Molloy continued: “We’re a great team and many of the individuals have been responsible for a number of our successes, but with the buy-out, we’re stronger, wiser and now totally independent”

With the e-commerce sector growing at a rate of 10% yr-on-yr and eBay ranked within the top 10 websites in both the UK and US, an effective presence is an absolute minimum for any serious b2c business.

The success of Frooition, the clear market leader in the creation and design of eBay stores for businesses is built upon meeting the needs of sellers by enabling clients to maintain their identity and brand style consistently throughout the eBay experience as well as an unparalleled service offering which includes:

Custom branding – providing bespoke custom branding for eBay businesses, designed to client specifications, achieving standout from competitors and generating an average increase in sales of 30%

Customer retention – providing the functionality to retain customers and cross promote, helping buyers find the correct items faster, helping businesses retain potential customers and providing the opportunity to up-sell, leading to significant sales conversions.

Web based technology – allowing clients to control the appearance of their store quickly and easily via a simple, yet powerful interface, enabling businesses to efficiently and effectively manage large volumes of complex eBay listings without the need to understand html code, at a low monthly cost point.

Phillip Molloy concluded: “We have a great product which has a proven impact on driving sales. Our aim is to constantly improve every aspect of our service in both the UK and US and the buy-out has provided the perfect platform for continued growth. We can improve our software, hardware and hosting environment which gives our clients continued unbeatable performance. Most importantly however, the team constantly listen to customer feedback and use that knowledge to make enhancements to future products and services. Naturally, we are tremendously excited by the buy-out and the opportunities it will present for the business, our current and potential new clients, both domestically and internationally”
